Natural and Solid Phytocosmetics Course

Last weekend, September 12 and 13, we were fortunate to enjoy a magnificent course on natural and solid phytocosmetics at Finca Las Coronas, led by the Cooperativa Corazón Verde (Center for Sustainable Human Development Corazón Verde, Valencian Cooperative Society) and its driving force Trinidad de los Ángeles Sánchez, Co-Founder of the cooperative, Anthropologist, Ethnobotanist, Cosmetologist, and Environmental Educator.

The 16-hour course was a practical learning opportunity in ecological natural and solid cosmetics. The 16 participants enjoyed a completely hands-on training, where they were able to create various interesting products such as micellar water, exfoliating gel, anti-aging serum, nourishing cream, solid deodorant, solid conditioner, among others.

In addition to the training, they had the opportunity to get to know our Finca Las Coronas, where they took a guided tour with Andrés López Raya, its creator and owner, and enjoyed nature up close, learning about the different and special crops of the farm and its endless possibilities, all combined with a wonderful fellowship and a warm, respectful atmosphere.

The welcoming nature of Las Coronas has become a perfect classroom for great learning

Corazón Verde is a teaching cooperative that follows the principles of Sustainable Human Development to help produce social, environmental, and economic change. The scope of activities carried out by Corazón Verde is nationwide.

Many companies, institutions, and associations throughout Spain trust their work to implement a new approach in the fields of ecology, the environment, ecological leisure, and sustainable self-employment, which essentially means making participants in their courses, workshops, and talks feel increasingly like active contributors rather than mere spectators in this great common effort that involves greater respect for our environment through knowledge gained in an engaging and participatory way. And without a doubt, Trinidad de los Ángeles and her team achieve this, putting their heart, knowledge, and experience at the service of their students. A true luxury.

The positive feelings of those who participated in such an interesting weekend are evident in their comments at the end of the training. Here are some you can read:

- “It has been a wonderful experience. Thank you for your hospitality.”

- “The experience at the farm was wonderful and awakens my desire to learn and research the natural world and its benefits.”

- “Excellent and wonderful place.”

- “It has been a pleasure to share your knowledge and to be given this wonderful visit.”

- “I hope to return soon and continue enriching myself with your wisdom.”

Without a doubt, such a positive and enriching experience as this is worth repeating, so let’s get to work... Long live learning!
