Finca Las Coronas: the paradise of biodiversity and innovative agriculture

Las Coronas Farm is an amazing space that stands out for its innovative character and its biodiversity of crops and natural species.

Las Coronas Farm, located in Carmona (Seville), is a unique natural space. Its current landscape represents a new diversification project where, across its 200 hectares, traditional crops coexist with innovative ones, responding to the demands of our customers both in the production of high-quality natural products and in the offering of nature experience tourism, which makes us unique in Andalusia.

But what does this space contain that makes us so special?

1. A magnificent plantation of Aloe Vera, which places us in the world of cosmetics and food through the design and production of innovative products, using as raw material a 100% organic and vegan high-quality aloe, which now in winter, despite the cold and frosts we also experience in this area, remains in good condition and provides us with excellent raw material.

Having our plantation on the same farm is a plus for the quality of our products, as the leaves are harvested and directly taken to the Artisanal Processing Center where they are turned into products without undergoing transport or temperature changes that could degrade the result. Our cultivation is also a fundamental element for experience tourism, as our visitors can see firsthand the complete process of transforming aloe vera into high-quality products and participate in it.

2. A spectacular lavender plantation, lavandin grosso variety, which besides a spectacular bloom in June that offers visitors a unique and unforgettable experience for body, mind, and spirit, allows us to produce a essential oil and hydrolate of very high quality, as well as soaps and aromatic sachets.

The plantation rests in winter and revives in May, giving us an incredible spectacle. Just a glimpse of what happens in June: the plantation becomes an auditorium to enjoy spectacular sunsets... the rest you will have to discover in person. If you are also a photography lover or a professional, there is no better setting; we witness it with every photo shoot carried out in the plantation.

3. A forest of lemon-scented eucalyptus, a tree remarkable for its elegant appearance and the citrus aroma its leaves emit, from which we also produce an extraordinary essential oil and hydrolate with

The forest is enriched by the presence of an important plantation of aloe arborescens, a variety highly valued in natural medicine, which grows spectacularly under the trees that provide protection creating the perfect microclimate for this variety’s development.

This less well-known variety to the general public has extraordinary therapeutic value, as its delicate leaves concentrate countless medicinal properties, such as the Father Romano Zago recipe we have already mentioned on the blog. Additionally, its bloom, a deep coral red, is a true spectacle between winter and spring.

4. We have just added to the existing biodiversity a young poplar forest, a slender, fast-growing tree, to increase green and cool spaces that enhance our visitors’ enjoyment.

5. The farm also features other natural attractions such as our aromatic plant labyrinth, which allows relaxation through its path. Its shape is a version of the labyrinth found in the Chartres Cathedral (France) located on the temple floor, whose circular layout allows a journey from the Fridays after Easter until All Saints’ Day to its center, representing the pilgrimage toward divine Grace.

Ours contains a beautiful cypress in the center that visitors can hug at the end of the path if they wish, becoming another unmatched photographic setting. In any case, the experience is extremely relaxing.

6. Our reservoir is another major attraction of the farm. Besides its crucial role in irrigating the farm, its 8 hectares concentrate many aquatic and migratory birds, beautifying the area. Its banks are full of vegetation: rushes, shrubs, and diverse trees such as Paulownias with spectacular blooms in early spring, offering another reason to stroll around.

7. Finally, besides these more innovative spaces, and within traditional agriculture, the farm produces a high-quality extra virgin olive oil from our large olive grove, arbequina variety, allowing us to compete in a highly competitive market with an extraordinary oil. We are currently bottling it and will soon have it available on our website.
